The decision to suspend the strategic dialogue between Washington and Pri\u0161tina is based entirely on the actions of the Kosovo government, and any suggestion that it is connected to Serbia or other external actors is incorrect and an attempt to avoid key issues, the State Department announced.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They added that the U.S. encourages its partners to work constructively to ensure stability and security, the State Department said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-The American side needs a partner that understands the need to avoid destabilizing actions and is committed to advancing regional stability and protecting the rights of all citizens of Kosovo, the statement read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The State Department also stated that it will continue to assess the actions of the interim government and has nothing further to announce at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The portal Reporteri reminds that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, in New York during the session of the United Nations General Assembly, said that the reason why Washington suspended the planned strategic dialogue with Kosovo has to do with the closing of parallel structures in the north of Kosovo, where the majority of Serbs live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
