Over the murder of 61-year-old Zoran Grgi\u0107, a former member of the Council for Civilian Oversight of Security and Intelligence Services of the Croatian Parliament, which took place last night in \u0160u\u0161njevci near Slavonski Brod, police have detained a total of three people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Brod-Posavina Police Department confirmed that, in addition to the initially arrested 33-year-old, two more suspects, aged 25 and 39, were arrested shortly afterward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2013Around 6 p.m., there was a shooting in which the 61-year-old man was wounded by firearm and died from the sustained injuries. A rapid police intervention followed, during which a 33-year-old man was located, after which two more people were arrested. A criminal investigation is underway to establish important facts and circumstances of this event \u2013 the police stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today at noon, in front of the Brod-Posavina Police Department building, a statement regarding the murder will be given by Dra\u017een Puljko, head of the Criminal Police Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The County State Attorney\u2019s Office in Slavonski Brod also issued a statement on this crime. Its deputy, in cooperation with the police, carried out the investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAccording to the data collected so far, there are reasonable grounds to suspect that on September 23, 2025, around 6 p.m. in the village of \u0160u\u0161njevci, on the roadway, by shooting with a firearm, the murder of a Croatian citizen (1964) was committed. It is suspected that the perpetrator or perpetrators struck the victim\u2019s vehicle with another vehicle, after which multiple shots were fired at him with a firearm, causing his death at the scene. The perpetrators then fled,\u201d the prosecutor\u2019s office announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They added that, in cooperation with the police, they are taking all necessary measures and actions within their jurisdiction to establish all relevant facts and circumstances of the murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
