The Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York, Dr. Vladimir Bo\u017eovi\u0107, at the invitation of the Mayor of New York, Eric Adams, attended a reception on the occasion of the Eastern European Cultural Heritage Day, held at Gracie’s Mansion, the official residence of the Mayor of New York since 1942.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reception gathered high representatives of the diplomatic corps, consuls general, representatives of the city administration and numerous personalities from public and cultural life. The guests enjoyed a rich selection of specialties from Eastern European countries, and one of the partners of the event was the prestigious New York institution Russian Samovar, which completed the evening with a special gastronomic experience. The atmosphere was enriched by a carefully selected music program, which gave the entire event a special note of sophistication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the reception, Mayor Adams extended a special greeting to all consuls general and arranged a joint photo shoot. Thanks to the special relationship and mutual respect he has developed with Consul General Dr. Vladimir Bo\u017eovi\u0107, the mayor set aside special time within the reception to have a meaningful and constructive conversation with him. This segment of the event was dedicated exclusively to the further improvement of cooperation between the Consulate General and the City of New York, as well as the exchange of views on key initiatives of mutual importance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Bo\u017eovi\u0107 informed the mayor in detail about the results of the meeting with the Commissioner for International Affairs of the City of New York, Aissata Camara and her team, conveyed all the key initiatives that the Consulate presented, with a special emphasis on the initiative to erect a monument to Nikola Tesla in Manhattan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
