Great Britain<\/strong>, Canada<\/strong>, and Australia<\/strong> recognized the state of Palestine<\/strong> today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Great Britain<\/strong> recognized Palestine<\/strong> as an independent state today. British<\/strong> Prime Minister Keir Starmer<\/strong> and ministers in his government concluded that the situation on the ground has worsened in recent weeks, which is why they decided on this move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Today, in order to revive the hope for peace for Palestinians<\/strong> and Israelis<\/strong>, and a two-state solution, the United Kingdom<\/strong> formally recognizes the State of Palestine<\/strong>,” Starmer<\/strong> said, as reported by Klix<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ministers in the current British<\/strong> government claim they have a moral responsibility to act in order to maintain hope for a long-term peace agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Canadian<\/strong> Prime Minister Mark Carney<\/strong> stated that Canada<\/strong> has just recognized Palestine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This move came shortly after the same decisions were made by France<\/strong> and Great Britain<\/strong>, and Prime Minister Carney<\/strong> stated that Canada<\/strong> has always been committed to a two-state solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carney<\/strong> believes that the Israeli<\/strong> government is methodically working to prevent the possibility of establishing a Palestinian<\/strong> state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It has been pursuing an unrelenting policy of settlement expansion on the West Bank<\/strong>, which is illegal under international law. The continuous attacks on Gaza<\/strong> have killed tens of thousands of civilians, displaced over a million people, and caused a devastating and preventable famine, in violation of international law. Now the declared policy of the current Israeli<\/strong> government is that ‘there will be no Palestinian<\/strong> state’,” Carney<\/strong> stated in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Australian<\/strong> Prime Minister Anthony Albanese<\/strong> stated that a two-state solution is best for humanity in order to end the cycle of violence, suffering, and the voice in Gaza<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He stated that the recognition of Palestinian<\/strong> statehood is part of a coordinated effort by Canada<\/strong> and Great Britain<\/strong> and that it will form an \u201cinternational effort for a two-state solution.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
