What an achievement! Angelina Topi\u0107<\/strong> won a bronze medal at the World High Jump Championship<\/strong>. The Serb<\/strong> jumped 1.97<\/strong> on her first attempt and found herself on the podium with the Ukrainian Yaroslava Mahuchikh<\/strong>. The gold was won by the Australian Nicola Olyslagers<\/strong> with exactly 2.00<\/strong> jumped, and with the same height, the silver went to the Pole \u017dozdik<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Angelina<\/strong> flew over 1.97<\/strong> on her first attempt, which turned out to be enough for a bronze medal. She later failed three times on a 2.00<\/strong> jump in the rain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Australian Nicola Olyslagers<\/strong> went over 2.00<\/strong> on her first attempt and that was enough for the gold. Afterward, the Pole \u017dozdik<\/strong> also did it to great surprise, with a personal best, and moved Angelina<\/strong> to third place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fate was still kind to Angelina<\/strong>, because Mahuchikh<\/strong> failed both times at 2.02<\/strong> and the medal ended up around the neck of the incredible 20-year-old Serb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Topi\u0107<\/strong>, this is the biggest success of her career, although she was a two-time European<\/strong> vice-champion in the senior category. This is also only the fifth medal in the history of Serbia<\/strong> at outdoor world championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
