US President Donald Trump has announced that he will declare the Antifa movement, which is a generic term for far-left groups that claim to be anti-fascist, a “terrorist” organization.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump announced the decision a week after the murder of Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist and founder of the organization Turning Point USA, one of the most influential youth right-wing groups in the USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have the pleasure of informing our many patriotic Americans that I am declaring the Antifa movement, “a sick and dangerous radical left-wing disaster, a terrorist organization,” the US president stated on his social network Truth Social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump, who is currently on a state visit to Great Britain, also said that he will “also strongly recommend that those who finance the Antifa movement be thoroughly investigated in accordance with the highest legal standards and practices.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The White House earlier this week announced that it intends to crack down on what it calls left-wing “domestic terrorism,” following the assassination of Charlie Kirk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
