On Saturday, September 20, the short documentary film &#8220;Zoran&#8221; will be shown at the &#8220;Busboys and Poets&#8221; cinema, introducing the audience to a deeply personal story from the Serbian diaspora. The next day, Sunday, September 21, the Representative Office of the Republika Srpska for cooperation, trade, and investment will host a free screening of the documentary film &#8220;Witness 2024&#8221; at the Miracle Theatre, highlighting a powerful, true story from the region&#8217;s recent history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Saturday, October 4, the festival will host a pre-premiere screening of the documentary film &#8220;Megdan: Between Water and Fire&#8221; at the Miracle Theatre, a visually striking work that explores the world of Serbian MMA fights and their symbolic connection to identity, discipline, and inner conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"MEGDAN: IZME\u0110U VODE I VATRE (2024) Trailer\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/L4RvOaFJGiE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main festival weekend is held from October 17 to 19, starting with a solemn opening ceremony at AMC Georgetown on Friday evening, followed by a screening of the critically acclaimed drama &#8220;The Son&#8217;s Will,&#8221; which some critics have called &#8220;the Serbian Mad Max.&#8221; The evening will end with an opening party, which will bring together filmmakers, audiences, and supporters from all over Washington.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Volja Sinovljeva | Official Trailer\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/m1E58VxmDgE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Attention then shifts to the Miracle Theatre, where screenings and events will be held for two full days.
