In <strong>Manila<\/strong>, the &#8220;<strong>Eagles<\/strong>&#8221; were defeated by the <strong>Czech Republic<\/strong> 0:3 (22:25, 23:25, 20:25). In a significantly altered lineup with the new coach <strong>Krecu<\/strong>, <strong>Serbia<\/strong> offered great resistance but failed to outplay their rival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first set of the match between <strong>Serbia<\/strong> and the <strong>Czech Republic<\/strong> was marked by the unstable play of the Serbian volleyball players, especially in service and attack. And up to 9:9, it was played point for point, and then the <strong>Czechs<\/strong> managed to pull away and slowly create a difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although <strong>Peri\u0107<\/strong> and <strong>Luburi\u0107<\/strong> were the most effective, <strong>Serbia<\/strong> failed to get closer. The <strong>Czechs<\/strong>, through <strong>Va\u0161ina<\/strong> and <strong>Zaj\u010dek<\/strong>, made a difference with strong and precise serves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Serbia<\/strong> managed to get closer with a 3:0 run to 22:23, however, the opponent used their second set point and took a 2:0 lead in sets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the third set, the <strong>Czech Republic<\/strong> completely dominated, even though <strong>Serbia<\/strong> led 4:2. Still, the &#8220;<strong>Eagles<\/strong>&#8221; failed to hold the lead, but instead faltered under the onslaught of the <strong>Czechs<\/strong>, who made a 5:0 run. They only increased it until the end and finally won the same with 25:20, although <strong>Serbia<\/strong> managed to get closer to four points at one point (14:18).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most effective for <strong>Serbia<\/strong> was <strong>Pavle Peri\u0107<\/strong> with 14 points, while <strong>Luburi\u0107<\/strong> stopped at 12. For the <strong>Czech Republic<\/strong>, the best was <strong>Indra<\/strong> with 14 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the next round, <strong>Serbia<\/strong> plays against <strong>China<\/strong> and that duel will probably decide the second traveler for the round of 16.
