The Prime Minister of the so-called Kosovo<\/strong>, Albin Kurti<\/strong>, said that over a billion euros would be allocated for the military in the next mandate and announced the development of “Made in Kosovo” military drones, reports Anadolu Agency<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kurti, who was unanimously voted as the Self-Determination Movement<\/strong>‘s candidate for Prime Minister, said that during his next mandate, a munitions factory would be operational and Kosovo’s military industry would be developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The strengthening of the military will be achieved through the acquisition of weapons, training and education within the country, in cooperation with Albania<\/strong> and in the most prominent military academies in partner countries,” emphasized Kurti, who added that a joint military unit would also be created with the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He pointed out that the goal is to deepen and expand bilateral and multilateral international cooperation with NATO<\/strong> member states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also emphasized that their goal is to have 1,000 women and girls in the military within the new mandate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kurti also spoke about Kosovo’s integration process into the European Union<\/strong>, stating that the goal is for Kosovo to successfully complete all chapters of the integration process towards EU<\/strong> membership by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
