(VIDEO)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Gendarmerie intervened this evening near the <strong>Faculty of Philosophy<\/strong> in Novi Sad. According to <strong>N1<\/strong> reporters, the police&#8217;s forceful action started suddenly against the peacefully gathered citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an N1 reporter announced, at one point there was a loud and piercing sound. The Gendarmerie began to intervene, using batons, and pushed back citizens as they moved toward the Faculty of Philosophy building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Loud explosions were heard, and tear gas was thrown multiple times. Citizens were also pushed back toward Bulevar Cara Lazara, across from the plateau in front of the Rectorate.
