In the Second Kragujevac High School, a total of five professors did not have their fixed-term contracts extended after they expired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Professors from the Second Kragujevac High School reacted this morning to the firing of five of their colleagues who had been working on a fixed-term basis. Simultaneously, support groups for student protests and citizens’ assemblies in Kragujevac are calling for a protest in support of the dismissed professors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The Plenum of the Second Kragujevac High School strongly condemns the firing of five of our colleagues who had been working in our school on a fixed-term basis. Their positions were filled by teachers from the list of technological redundancies and from some other lists; thus, their jobs were taken by other teachers based on criteria that are completely unknown to us, and our colleagues were left jobless,” their public and media statement says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
