Serbia recorded its fourth victory in group A of the European Championship, the Eagles expectedly easily came to a triumph against the significantly weakened Czech selection – 82:60.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was clear already at the start of the match that Svetislav Pe\u0161i\u0107’s chosen ones would record two more points. They took the lead with 7:0, it was mostly easy and attractive points from counter-attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Czechs scored only two baskets in the first quarter, first a three-pointer by Zidek, then a two-pointer by Peterka. In the meantime, the Eagles gained a huge difference, after the first quarter it was even “plus 22” (27:5).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A different picture was seen in the second quarter, so coach Pe\u0161i\u0107 at one point called a time-out, telling his chosen ones that they would have to get serious, given that the rival “has pride.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the Czechs were really very combative, so after the disastrous first one, they were in a complete tie in the second quarter, if nothing else, they stayed at “minus 22” (45:23).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third quarter proceeded in a similar rhythm, with the difference that the Czech Republic managed to score a few three-pointers, and also to win this quarter and reduce the difference for a visibly dissatisfied Pe\u0161i\u0107 at those moments (61:43).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Eagles’ rival continued with a similar game, so they reached “only” a 15-point deficit at the start of the last quarter (61:46). The game of Serbia was not the best then, but few people were worried about it at the moment when Vasilije Mici\u0107 found himself on the court with a painful wail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a painful grimace and a juicy curse, the Serbian playmaker first went to the dressing room, but then sat on the bench from which he watched the end of the match. In which Serbia did not spend much, but routinely brought the match to an end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
