A student of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, who was arrested on a city bus, was heard today in the Palace of Justice, and as she herself said, she was released to defend herself from freedom.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 1 p.m., a rally was organized in front of the Palace of Justice in support of the student Teodora Gardovi\u0107, who was detained on Tuesday while on a city bus in Belgrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometime after 2 p.m., Teodora left the Palace of Justice accompanied by the police and announced to the gathered citizens and colleagues who had come to support her that she had been released to defend herself from freedom and that only a misdemeanor charge had been filed against her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“They arrested me on bus 511 on my way to Srem\u010dica. When we arrived at ’29. novembar’, they told me I would be held overnight, but they didn’t tell me exactly why. Later, I was told that it had to do with the smashing of the SNS premises on Cviji\u0107eva Street. I didn’t throw rocks and firecrackers, but I guess there weren’t enough women arrested,” she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teodora also says that they treated her decently. “I got three meals and toilet paper; the only thing is they didn’t turn off the lights while sleeping. I was then transferred to the Palace of Justice; the prosecutor was decent, and I got a misdemeanor charge for vandalizing the SNS premises, only I didn’t use any tools; it was a bottle of water,” she stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also said that it was the first time in her life that she had been detained. “It was my turn\u2026 my mom and dad are OK, we have experienced intimidation before, but it will not stop us from fighting on. It’s over, people,” Teodora said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
