Aleksandra Krsti\u0107<\/strong>, a member of the Serbian national kickboxing team, has won a bronze medal at the World Games being held in the Chinese city of Chengdu. She earned the bronze in the K1 discipline in the under-70kg category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first round, Aleksandra Krsti\u0107 defeated Ekram Abuelokomosan<\/strong> of Egypt. She was then defeated by Polina Grosman<\/strong> of Israel in an extremely difficult semifinal match. In the decisive fight for the bronze medal, she was better than Ergie Bacayadan<\/strong> of the Philippines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is Aleksandra Krsti\u0107’s second medal from the World Games, as she won gold in Alabama three years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The competition was of extremely high quality, the competition was fierce, and this will certainly be a great experience for me. The matches were very difficult because all the competitors came in very motivated and physically impeccably prepared,” Aleksandra Krsti\u0107 said, summing up her impressions. She then added, “I am not satisfied with the result because I believe I could have won gold. But it is what it is. I will do my best to return to Serbia with the brightest medal from the upcoming World Championship.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Krsti\u0107 has won four world champion titles in her career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
