The preliminary judge of the basic court of the temporary institutions in Pri\u0161tina has extended the detention of Miljojko \u0110or\u0111evi\u0107<\/strong> from the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica for another two months. \u0110or\u0111evi\u0107 is accused of allegedly committing the criminal offense of war crimes against the civilian population<\/strong> during the conflict in Kosovo and Metohija in 1999.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His lawyer, Sr\u0111an Mitrovi\u0107<\/strong>, stated that an appeal has been filed against this decision with the appellate court in Pri\u0161tina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miljojko \u0110or\u0111evi\u0107 was arrested on May 15. According to the prosecutor’s office, he is suspected of having participated in the murders, deportations, robberies, and torture of Albanian civilians as a police unit commander in the municipality of Zve\u010dan. He is also allegedly suspected of participating in the murder of seven civilians in the village of \u017da\u017ea<\/strong> in 1999.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
