The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107, addressed the public after the session of the National Security Council and pointed out that Serbia does not accept the verdicts of the court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We worked very carefully on the conclusion after the verdict was pronounced on Milorad Dodik, and you could notice how that verdict was politically prepared, with terrible pressure from various factors, to the extent that parties in Sarajevo threatened to go out to demonstrations if they did not convict Dodik,” Vu\u010di\u0107 pointed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The verdict against President Milorad Dodik, by which he was sentenced to one year in prison and a ban on engaging in politics, and for disrespecting Christian Schmidt, is strongly condemned. These decisions are deeply immoral and violate basic principles, from the right to freedom of expression to the right to sovereignty and integrity, and violate the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Dayton Agreement. Therefore, Serbia does not accept the verdicts of the court of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Vu\u010di\u0107 read the decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He continued by pointing out that the situation in the region is very disturbed and that Serbs are particularly endangered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The acts that were passed endanger the stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the democratic character of internal relations.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
