The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, addressed the public after the Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the first-instance verdict, by which he was sentenced to one year in prison and a six-year ban on holding office.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, Dodik’s lawyer, Goran Bubi\u0107, addressed the public, saying that they were informed about the verdict by phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-We expected justice, unfortunately we got injustice. The president’s legal team will continue with the available legal remedies, and we will also seek an interim measure to stay the execution of the verdict until the decision of the Constitutional Court – he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u017deljka Cvijanovi\u0107 said that this process was politically staged and rigged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-This is a political decision, and of course political decisions imply political qualifications. I want to say that we have a solution, and I want to tell the people in SNSD that we were and will remain the strongest political organization, but that more battles are ahead of us – she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The President of the RS Assembly, Nenad Stevandi\u0107, said that “they will not catch us either nervous or unprepared.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-They have so far abused our concern to preserve peace, and this shows once again that they do not care about peace. This verdict is a way to cause conflicts in BiH, but we are smart enough to win. We have no need to show in advance what we know and what we can do, and we are sure that we have the people on our side. The institutions and the people think the same, and every one of our actions will be a winning one – said Stevandi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dodik’s current rating was “anointed,” points out the President of the RS Assembly, and adds that all future election victories are certain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then Milorad Dodik addressed the public, who said that the verdict was not unexpected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-According to Dayton and the BiH Constitution, there is no prosecutor’s office or court, as well as a high representative. We saw that the facts that the decree that I signed was signed before even those decisions came into force were not respected. This is a purely political decision, political will. The BiH Court is a political court, and it has decided to influence political life. They abolished the fourth mandate and gave it to someone who was born in a Kinder Surprise egg. So, delegates are chosen only by the National Assembly, not by being chosen in Kinder Surprise eggs! It is obvious that the intention of political Sarajevo led to this – said Dodik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said that they accused him, as the President of Republika Srpska, of everything and turned him into the main culprit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-The essence is that Christian Schmidt said that anyone who does not respect him will end up in prison. If we accept that, it’s only a matter of time before all these people here are on the agenda. This is an attack on Republika Srpska! I have not committed any criminal offense provided by law, and I do not accept this criminal offense prescribed by Schmidt – the President of the RS added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said that the EU is behind the attack on him, since the alliance is looking for any victory in the light of the fact that they are suffering defeats from Ukraine to the issue of tariffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-This is the political will of the powerful. I will listen to what the people say. I have not committed any criminal offense, and I am being charged because Schmidt does not like me. This only serves to eliminate Republika Srpska, and it will not stop, no matter what I do. It is obvious that a new dualism has been created between the RS and BiH. That there can be no minimal acceptance of the upper institutions, and that foreigners can comfortably turn off their phones when it comes to talking to us. I personally reject them, and I advise my associates to do the same. We will be careful how we move, we are not without an alternative – said Dodik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He says that all the judges who sentenced him are Muslims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-They want to politically eliminate me, even though they know that the verdict can be easily overturned in higher human rights courts. I call on the people to remain calm, to gather around Republika Srpska. I thank the PDP, which said that it will not run in the elections if they are called. I say that the elections will not be held as long as I am president and hold office. I also demand that the police be engaged and not allow any voting, so they can vote outside Republika Srpska – he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dodik says that the RS must retaliate, and that a great danger has loomed over the Serbian entity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-They are attacking the strongest political figures, and then they will move on to others. I don’t expect anything from the opposition, except to gloat and enjoy what happened. I expect support from Serbia, I will ask for support from Russia, we will also write letters to the new American administration. This has to do with the Muslim efforts to dominate BiH. I want to tell the Serbs in the RS that if you don’t wake up in five years, you will experience an exodus, and you will not be a political nation – the President of the RS pointed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The people should not be afraid of anything, not a single rifle will be fired, he emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Our greatest strength is gathering. After six years, when I return to the elections, I will come with a different platform. But I hope that by then there will be no BiH, at least there will be no court and prosecutor’s office – Dodik concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
