Serbian swimmer Andrej Barna qualified for the final of the World Championship in Singapore, finishing the race in first place in the second semifinal.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barna was first in his semifinal group with a time of 21.45, which is only a tenth slower than the national record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second was the Russian Egor Kornev, and the Italian Leonardo Deplano finished the race in third place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barna had previously broken the national and personal record in the qualifications and recorded the best result of all the competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just ten days ago in Belgrade at the Serbian championship, he also set a national record, which did not last long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barna is also the owner of the national record in the 100-meter freestyle, and he set it at the European Championship last year in Belgrade, when he won a bronze medal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The swimmer born in Subotica was also part of the Serbian 4\u00d7100 relay that won gold at the same competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final is scheduled for Saturday at 1:09 p.m. Central European Time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
