(VIDEO)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>The green arched structure of Belgrade&#8217;s Old Sava Bridge was removed in the morning hours from its foundation on the Sava River, where it had stood for the past 83 years. After the central part of the bridge, its two supporting pillars will also be removed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The recognizable green arch was lifted from its pillars and moved by hydraulic cranes onto barges, which should then remove it from the riverbed, an RFE reporter stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the purpose of the final works on the bridge&#8217;s removal, the Sava River has been partially closed to navigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is still no official information on what will happen to the remains of the old bridge.
