Nenad Dinulovi\u0107<\/strong>, President of the City Election Commission (GIK) in Zaje\u010dar, announced today that the High Court in Zaje\u010dar<\/strong> has rejected an appeal by voter Predrag Stankovi\u0107 from Zaje\u010dar and denied an appeal by the “Promena u koju verujemo” (Change We Believe In) Coalition regarding the overall report on the results of the elections for councilors of the City Assembly of Zaje\u010dar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dinulovi\u0107 told Tanjug that these decisions have now created the conditions for holding the constitutive session of the City Assembly of Zaje\u010dar. The High Court in Zaje\u010dar had earlier also rejected 69 appeals and dismissed two appeals against the preliminary results of the local elections, both submitted by the “Promena u koju verujemo” Coalition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local elections in Zaje\u010dar were held on June 8<\/strong>. According to the overall report on the results of the elections for City Assembly councilors published by the City Election Commission of Zaje\u010dar, the list “Ne damo Srbiju – Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107” (We Don’t Give Up Serbia – Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107) won 47.13 percent<\/strong> of the votes, securing 27 mandates<\/strong>. The “Promena u koju verujemo – Uglje\u0161a \u0110uri\u010dkovi\u0107-Dragana Ra\u0161i\u0107” list received 34.23 percent<\/strong> of the votes, which translates to 19 mandates<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The “Ujedinjeni za spas Zaje\u010dara – Miladin Krsti\u0107 – Mirko Jelenkovi\u0107” (United for the Salvation of Zaje\u010dar – Miladin Krsti\u0107 – Mirko Jelenkovi\u0107) list garnered 7.58 percent<\/strong> of the votes, earning four mandates<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
