{"id":182124,"date":"2025-07-10T10:03:11","date_gmt":"2025-07-10T08:03:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/?p=182124"},"modified":"2025-07-10T10:03:12","modified_gmt":"2025-07-10T08:03:12","slug":"european-parliament-adopts-resolution-russia-bears-full-responsibility-for-war-in-ukraine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/european-parliament-adopts-resolution-russia-bears-full-responsibility-for-war-in-ukraine\/","title":{"rendered":"EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT ADOPTS RESOLUTION: Russia Bears Full Responsibility for War in Ukraine!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>European Parliament<\/strong> today adopted a resolution that strongly condemns the alleged war crimes of Russian forces in Ukraine and expresses support for the <strong>International Criminal Court (ICC)<\/strong> investigations into Russia&#8217;s actions in the war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The text, adopted with <strong>507 votes in favor, 77 against, and 45 abstentions<\/strong>, states that the EU &#8220;must implement significantly more effective military, economic, political, and diplomatic efforts and measures to pressure Russia to end the war.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Members of Parliament called on the EU to continue <strong>confiscating immobilized Russian state assets<\/strong> to support Ukraine, stating that legal avenues exist for this and that a lack of action is an &#8220;inexcusable failure of European governments.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The text assesses that &#8220;Russia&#8217;s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has violated peace and stability in Europe and severely undermined global security.&#8221; The document emphasizes that Russia remains &#8220;the most significant and direct threat to European security,&#8221; and that it bears sole responsibility for the ongoing war in Ukraine, according to the European Parliament&#8217;s website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:#FFFFFF;color:#d21414\" class=\"has-inline-color\">PRO\u010cITAJTE VI\u0160E:<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fserbiantimes%2Fposts%2Fpfbid02wzdtjLv84i5jNisqNEYFPDED9aXBica6UiogdP9m6xBwJAPJ6aJmEKrut3Nq4L2il&#038;show_text=true&#038;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"577\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>MEPs also criticized the &#8220;indiscriminate targeting of civilian infrastructure&#8221; in Ukraine, emphasizing that &#8220;the systematic and deliberate targeting of civilians, and especially the deportation of children, may constitute Moscow&#8217;s genocidal strategy.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Ukrainian authorities, around <strong>16,000 Ukrainian civilians<\/strong> are detained in Russia and occupied Ukrainian territories, and MEPs highlighted that over <strong>70,000 Ukrainians<\/strong>, including civilians, children, and military personnel, are officially listed as missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They strongly condemned the alleged execution of Ukrainian prisoners of war by Russian forces, which, they say, constitutes war crimes and grave violations of the Geneva Convention.
