Serbia’s 3×3 basketball players won a bronze medal at the World Championship in Mongolia.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The “Eagles,” without Strahinja Stoja\u010di\u0107, the world’s top-ranked player who was injured in the semifinal loss to Switzerland, defeated Germany in the bronze medal match after a great comeback with a score of 21:16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serbia thus won its eighth medal at World Championships out of nine held, continuing its streak of success even though it failed to defend its title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The convincing defeat to Switzerland in the semifinals definitely shook Serbia. This was evident in the first half of the game, which the Germans exploited, primarily with good long-range shooting, to take a 9:3 lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Dejan Majstorovi\u0107, Nemanja Bara\u0107, Marko Brankovi\u0107, and Strahinja Stoja\u010di\u0107 did not give up without a fight. They tightened their defense and managed to tie the game at 11:11 with three minutes left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next minute didn’t go well for Serbia. The Germans made a 4-1 run and led 15:12 two minutes before the end. Serbia responded again. However, Serbia tied the game again at 15:15, leading to an extremely exciting final minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then Dejan Majstorovi\u0107 stepped up. First, he hit a two-pointer for 17:15 with 30 seconds left, and then from the free-throw line, he sealed the final score of 21:16 for another world medal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
