Serbian rowers Martin Ma\u010dkovi\u0107 and Nikolaj Pimenov won the gold medal at the World Cup in Lucerne, in the double sculls discipline.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ma\u010dkovi\u0107 and Pimenov finished the 2,000-meter race in 6:10.48 minutes, while the silver medal went to New Zealanders Finley Hammill and Benjamin Mason, who were 0.05 seconds behind the Serbian rowers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bronze went to the first Irish team, which finished the race in 6:11.65 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They had a great finish in the final. They entered the last 500 meters in third place, and then, with excellent rowing, overtook the first Irish crew and the New Zealanders, who were leading until then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the end, Serbia recorded a time of 6:10.48. New Zealand was five hundredths behind at 6:10.53, and the Irish were third at 6:11.65.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the previous two days, Ma\u010dkovi\u0107 and Pimenov showed excellent form. They won in the qualifications and in the semifinals and reached the final with the second overall time, which brought them gold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
