Serbian President Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107 stated, ahead of tomorrow’s demonstrations called by students in blockade, that “Serbia has not accepted the ultimatum.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Serbian state has been faced with ultimatums from foreign great powers many times. And this time, foreign powers, through domestic subservients, sent us an ultimatum. The response of the Serbian state has always been the same. Serbia is not a handful of grain to be pecked away. The ultimatum has not been accepted; you don’t have to wait until tomorrow at 9 p.m.,” Vu\u010di\u0107 stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vu\u010di\u0107 added that the government in Serbia “was ready to talk to everyone,” but that this was interpreted as weakness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We were ready to talk to everyone. We preserved peace when they violated the law. Then someone thought that meant weakness, that these were signs of those who are afraid,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vu\u010di\u0107 also stated that he calls on “all young people to preserve Serbia,” and added that it is good that tomorrow is Vidovdan because “then everything will be seen.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Once again, paternally, I call on all young people and all people in Serbia to preserve Serbia. But in the end, it’s good that Vidovdan has come so that everything can be seen. On Vidovdan, it will be seen whether someone was afraid or not, and the strength of the Serbian state is to preserve peace. The people should not be afraid,” said Vu\u010di\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
