Novak Djokovic avoided the worst possible scenario in the Wimbledon draw, as he will not play in the quarterfinals with Jannik Sinner or Carlos Alcaraz.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sinner is his potential opponent in the semifinals, and in the quarterfinals he should face Jack Draper. Previously, Draper has Bublik and Mensik on his path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, Novak starts against Frenchman Alexandre Muller, currently the 40th ranked player in the world who has lost both matches on grass this season, and in the second round, he awaits a home player \u2013 either Dan Evans or Jay Clarke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Olga and Nina Learned Opponents<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Olga Danilovi\u0107 and Nina Stojanovi\u0107 learned the names of their opponents in the first round, as well as the potential further course of Wimbledon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same half of the draw are the first seed Aryna Sabalenka and Jasmine Paolini (4), while in the second semifinal, a possible encounter between Jessica Pegula (3) and Coco Gauff (2) is possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The projected quarterfinals are Sabalenka \u2013 Madison Keys (6), Paolini \u2013 Zheng Qinwen (5), Pegula \u2013 Mirra Andreeva (7), and Gauff \u2013 Iga \u015awi\u0105tek (8).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pole could meet Elena Rybakina, the world’s 11th ranked tennis player, in a fourth-round derby. An interesting first-round duel will be played by Sabalenka and Canadian model, qualifier Carson Branstine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Olga Danilovi\u0107 will face the 127th ranked player on the planet, Zhang Shuai, at the start. The Chinese player reached the main draw through qualifications, and was once 22nd on the list and played the quarterfinals of Wimbledon in 2019. The tennis player who celebrated her 36th birthday this year is known for recording 24 consecutive losses over 603 days, between Lyon 2023 and Beijing 2024. This is the second longest losing streak in the Open Era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second round will be a serious challenge for Olga, who should then meet Keys, the reigning Australian Open champion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The daughter of the celebrated basketball player Predrag Danilovi\u0107 ended her only previous participation in the prestigious tournament last year in the first round, while Nina Stojanovi\u0107 was also stopped at the same obstacle in her first and last appearance in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second Serbian representative will face Anna Kalinskaya, 40th on the WTA list, in the first obstacle. Her best ranking was 11th in the world, while at Wimbledon last year she reached the fourth round. This season she is far from recognizable form, and in her only match on grass she was defeated by Ella Seidel in the Berlin qualifiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Should she overcome the primary challenge, Nina will face Dane Clara Tauson, the 23rd seed, in the second round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The battle for the trophy at the third Grand Slam of the season will last from June 30 to July 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
