The Appellate Court in Belgrade has definitively sentenced Uro\u0161 Bla\u017ei\u0107 to a prison term of 20 years for killing nine people and wounding 12 others in villages near Mladenovac on May 4, 2023.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the same verdict, his father, Radi\u0161a Bla\u017ei\u0107, was also definitively sentenced to 20 years in prison for committing criminal acts of unauthorized production, possession, and trafficking of weapons and explosive materials, and a grave offense against general security. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second-instance court rejected the appeals of the defendants’ lawyers as unfounded and affirmed the first-instance verdict, as published on the court’s website, Tanjug reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uro\u0161 Bla\u017ei\u0107 was found guilty of shooting at three locations on the evening of May 4, 2023, killing a total of nine and wounding 12 people. In Mali Ora\u0161je, Marko Mitrovi\u0107 died on the spot from five injuries, while Nemanja Stevanovi\u0107, Lazar Milovanovi\u0107, Petar Mitrovi\u0107, and minors Nikola Mili\u0107 and Aleksandar Milovanovi\u0107 later died from their injuries in the hospital. Bla\u017ei\u0107 wounded several people, and in Dubona, he killed Milan Pani\u0107, Kristina Pani\u0107, and Dalibor Todorovi\u0107.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He then drove away from the scene in his vehicle, unauthorizedly entered a vehicle parked in a house’s yard, and drove to a toll booth, where he entered a taxi containing Jelena Aljdinovi\u0107 and driver Dragoslav Antonovi\u0107. Aljdinovi\u0107 told him she was pregnant, and they drove her to her destination, while he continuously threatened the driver with a bomb and ordered him to drive him to the village of Vinji\u0161te near Kragujevac<\/strong>, where he was arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
