Serbian President Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107 accused students participating in blockades of handing over former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milo\u0161evi\u0107 to The Hague on Vidovdan (St. Vitus Day).<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of this might not be so astounding, given that we are accustomed to President Vu\u010di\u0107 not being burdened by the truth, if it weren’t for the fact that the event in question occurred on June 28, 2001, when most of today’s students participating in the blockades weren’t even born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We had terrible days, like the deliberate handover of President Milo\u0161evi\u0107 to the Hague Tribunal on Vidovdan. That is one of the greatest disgraces the blockaders committed against the state of Serbia,” said Vu\u010di\u0107.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking about the student protest, he allegedly stated that “nothing will come of it,” and that “those who organize it ‘have no chance whatsoever’.” He also told TV Prva that the state knows how to protect both itself and its people, and that he hopes it won’t have to demonstrate it, although, as he said, it’s possible that the organizers “will provoke incidents.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This Vidovdan will be a Vidovdan of victory; they have no chance whatsoever… no matter how many of them come and how angry they are,” said Vu\u010di\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
