No one knows whether these rocks were made by man or are a work of nature, reports City Magazine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mysterious blocks, about two and a half meters high, are located on Stara Planina between Gad\u017ein Han and Babu\u0161nica, above the village of Ostatovica. Their original purpose is unknown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Legend has it that there was also a fourth stone, which fell over time, and that the place served as a clock in ancient past, showing the seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Srpski \u201cStounhend\u017e\u201d - misteriozna Tri kamena\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GJzMpt7PVrk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to another legend, a girl from Ostatovica hid among the rocks at that place after the Turks killed her father, and the three stone figures helped her remain unnoticed, so the Three Stones are also called Maiden&#8217;s Rock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, it might just be a natural phenomenon created by soil erosion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The three rocks are located about 900 meters above sea level and can only be reached on foot.
