The second-instance authority, acting on the appeal by Nikola Franceti\u0107’s proxy, has annulled the ban on his entry and stay in the Republic of Serbia, meaning he will no longer face any restrictions for residing and working in our country, as stated by AK Tomanovi\u0107.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To recall, Zagreb manager Nikola Franceti\u0107, who had lived and worked in Belgrade for the past seven years, was forced to leave Serbia by order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with the explanation that he “represents a security risk to the state.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Franceti\u0107 worked in Serbia as the director of the television platform NetTV Plus, which was part of United Group. During his years in Belgrade, he says he never had problems with the law, nor was he politically active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I cannot explain what happened \u2013 I am not politically active, I don’t make public appearances, I don’t comment on anything on social media,” Franceti\u0107 previously told Jutarnji list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, the shock came when he was called to the police to allegedly “resolve an administrative trifle,” and then, in an office with several police officers, his residence permit was confiscated, and he was given seven days to leave the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was particularly affected because, just a few weeks prior, he had, as he said, invested his entire life savings in buying an apartment in Belgrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s incredible to me that now, even though I own the apartment, I cannot enter it for at least a year,” the Croatian manager added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In late April, the Administrative Court in Belgrade accepted the request of the Tomanovi\u0107 law firm and postponed the enforcement of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs’ decision on his expulsion, and it has now been annulled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
