Lawyer Ljubomir Pantovi\u0107 told RTS that a judge in Pristina sentenced Aleksandar Vlaji\u0107 to five years in prison and \u20ac1,000 for illegal possession of weapons. Vlaji\u0107 concluded a plea agreement with the special prosecution, Pristina media reported.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lawyer Ljubomir Pantovi\u0107 told RTS that the judge sentenced Vlaji\u0107 to five years in prison and \u20ac1,000 for illegal possession of weapons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pantovi\u0107 requested a sentence of four years and six months in prison for his client, stating that there were numerous mitigating circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, the prosecution sought four years and six months of imprisonment up to five years of effective imprisonment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aleksandar Vlaji\u0107, whom the prosecution identified as an agent of the Security Information Agency (BIA), was arrested in June 2024 on suspicion of collecting and sending information to the BIA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the prosecution, Vlaji\u0107 created a network of employees of Serbian nationality, from whom he received information and reports on the work of international organizations in Kosovo and Metohija (KiM), which, according to the indictment, related to political and security aspects within the territory of KiM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked by the judge at today’s hearing whether he understood the consequences of pleading guilty, Vlaji\u0107 replied: “Yes,” in the Serbian language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vlaji\u0107 was also accused of a terrorist attack on the office of the Municipal Election Commission in North Mitrovica in November 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
