Three students from the Faculty of Mathematics in Belgrade, Milo\u0161 Mili\u0107ev, Jovan Arizanovi\u0107, and Mihailo Jan\u010devi\u0107, have returned from the Mathematical Student Olympiad in Uzbekistan with an impressive three medals.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mili\u0107ev won silver, while Arizanovi\u0107 and Jan\u010devi\u0107 secured bronze. The trio also achieved an excellent sixth place in the team standings, right behind mathematical powerhouses such as China, South Korea, Japan, Russia, and the USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was the third student Olympiad organized by Uzbekistan, and last week it hosted 212 competitors from 16 countries. The Serbian team was led by the once-renowned competitor, now Professor Teodor Fon Burg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serbia also had another representative at this mathematical event, Professor Vesna Todor\u010devi\u0107, who was a member of the Organizing Committee and the international Olympic jury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
