Students from the Faculty of Technical Sciences in \u010ca\u010dak, part of the University of Kragujevac, have brought immense pride to Serbia by winning a top award at this year’s Huawei ICT Competition<\/strong> in China! Serbia triumphed in an exceptionally thrilling two-day final, which featured 15 teams from around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winning Serbian team, whose solution was recognized with a prestigious award in the innovation category, comprises Mihailo Kne\u017eevi\u0107, Stefan \u0106irkovi\u0107, and Tatjana Lazovi\u0107<\/strong>, along with their mentor, Professor Sa\u0161a Cvetkovi\u0107. Their presented innovation from Serbia combines cutting-edge ICT technology and medicine for the purpose of treating severe kidney diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are proud of the award won in the innovation category. Our idea was ambitious and technologically advanced, but also challenging to present, which even made us nervous. The competition was extremely strong \u2013 teams from all over the world brought impressive energy and knowledge, which adds extra weight to our success. The proposed solutions were modern and carefully designed, and the level of innovation and enthusiasm that students globally invest in their work is truly inspiring. We thank Huawei for the excellent organization and hospitality in Shenzhen, as well as everyone who supported us on the path to this exceptional recognition,” stated the students from the Faculty of Technical Sciences in \u010ca\u010dak and their mentor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Global Recognition and Future of Tech<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Within the competition, awards were also presented in the categories of computer science, Cloud, and network technologies. In addition to the main prizes, special recognitions were given for Women in Technology, Green Development, and Most Valuable Instructor (MVI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The significance of the event was also recognized by the international community. Numerous high-ranking officials traveled to Shenzhen to attend the ceremony, exchange experiences and knowledge with students and professors, and present awards to the best. Among the distinguished guests were Kaan Baskurt, Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Guangzhou, and the Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Turkey, as well as Valerio De Parolis, Consul General of Italy in Guangzhou. Both presented awards to the winning teams from their respective countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year’s Huawei ICT Competition final was held in one of the world’s most technologically advanced cities, Shenzhen<\/strong>, home to Huawei’s futuristic headquarters. Beyond the competition, participants had the opportunity to visit Huawei’s headquarters and explore the exhibition space. During the campus tour, professors and students gained insights into the latest research and development trends in information and communication technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
