During his years in Belgrade, he says he never had any issues with the law nor was he politically involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t explain what happened \u2013 I\u2019m not politically active, I don\u2019t make public appearances, I don\u2019t comment on anything on social media,\u201d Franceti\u0107 told <em>Jutarnji list<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, the shock came when he was called to the police allegedly to \u201cresolve an administrative formality,\u201d but then, in an office with multiple police officers, had his residence permit revoked and was given seven days to leave the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:#FFFFFF;color:#d21414\" class=\"has-inline-color\">FIND OUT MORE: <\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fserbiantimes%2Fposts%2Fpfbid0rxEncoWEn1HyEQanNHXw91v177RoxDCyPpuqQF7rbHoL8qxi5quzQLAEgCNmLXeAl&#038;show_text=true&#038;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"250\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>What troubles him especially is that just a few weeks earlier, he had invested his entire life savings into buying an apartment in Belgrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s unbelievable to me that now, even though I own the apartment, I can\u2019t enter it for at least a year,\u201d adds the Croatian manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His lawyer filed an appeal against the Interior Ministry\u2019s decision, and the Administrative Court in Belgrade accepted the motion to postpone the execution of the deportation order until a final ruling is made.
