The mural was painted in memory by his friends and colleagues, after Krsmanovi\u0107 tragically died in July last year in an attack carried out by an Albanian terrorist.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The whole of Serbia remembers Nikola Krsmanovi\u0107 as a uniformed police officer who tragically died on duty. For his family and friends, he was more than that \u2013 a son, brother, friend, and colleague, but also a football player in the village club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Nikola was a man who connected all of us, always at the center of society. We gathered around him, whether as colleagues or as friends. He was also my childhood friend and teammate in the football club &#8216;October 14th&#8217;,&#8221; states Nikola Aleksi\u0107, Nikola&#8217;s childhood friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"\/\/services.brid.tv\/player\/build\/brid.min.js\"><\/script><div id=\"videoBox-2084605\" class=\"brid\" itemprop=\"video\" itemscope itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/VideoObject\"><\/div><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> $bp(\"videoBox-2084605\", {\"id\":\"34612\",\"width\":\"600\",\"height\":\"343\",\"video\":\"2084605\",\"autoplay\":0,\"shared\":true});<\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>The residents of Draginac say they have taken on the obligation to ensure that the name of Nikola Krsmanovi\u0107 is not forgotten. In addition to the mural painted by his friends, two initiatives have been launched \u2013 to rename Varo\u0161ka Street in his name and to build a memorial fountain in the center of the village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;What remains is to change the name of Varo\u0161ka Street, to rename it Nikola Krsmanovi\u0107 Street, and to build a memorial fountain in the center of Draginac.
