Patricia Kaunda from distant Zambia fell in love with a guy from Serbia five years ago. She married him and moved to Serbia <\/a>in 2023.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This young couple is now expecting a baby after several years of relationship, and Patricia, from a foreigner’s perspective, has shared what it’s like to be pregnant in Serbia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She highlights as a particularly good thing that pregnant women here have various privileges and rights, such as free dental services and regular gynecological check-ups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s very good to be pregnant in Serbia. Here, for example, you get free dental care when you are pregnant. You have free dental check-ups, and it’s also free if a tooth needs to be repaired, extracted, or something similar. That’s very good. Also, here you regularly go for baby ultrasounds. Check-ups are done at regular intervals, and you can go to a public hospital or privately, but healthcare workers even in public hospitals are very kind,” she says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
