Minister of Culture Nikola Selakovi\u0107 was physically attacked on the street in Belgrade, RTS learns.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minister Selakovi\u0107 is seeing a doctor for his injuries and their degree is currently being determined, after which he will go to the police and file a report. Serbian President Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107 confirmed that Selakovi\u0107 was attacked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Couple of hours later, the police have arrested the attacker of Minister Nikola Selakovi\u0107. The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office has ordered his detention for up to 48 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Da\u010di\u0107 stated that members of the Criminal Police Directorate, the Crime Suppression Service, following an order from the First Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, found and arrested the attacker of Minister Nikola Selakovi\u0107 in his apartment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Members of the Criminal Police Directorate, the Crime Suppression Service, following an order from the First Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, found and arrested the attacker of Minister Nikola Selakovi\u0107 in his apartment, a person identified as M.T. (born 1985) from Belgrade, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of endangering safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his apartment, which is near the location where the attack on Minister Selakovi\u0107 took place last night, clothing he was wearing at the time was found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suspect will be detained for up to 48 hours and, along with a criminal complaint, will be brought before the competent prosecutor’s office,” Minister Da\u010di\u0107 stated, according to the MUP announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
