This one, they say, will last <strong>five days\u2014from Monday, February 10, to Friday, February 14<\/strong>, reports <strong>Euronews Serbia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Efektiva has urged consumers to <strong>avoid shopping at five major retail chains<\/strong> during this period: <strong>Delhaize (which owns &#8220;Maxi&#8221; and &#8220;Shop&amp;Go&#8221;), Mercator (&#8220;Idea&#8221; and &#8220;Roda&#8221;), as well as &#8220;DIS,&#8221; &#8220;Lidl,&#8221; and &#8220;Univerexport.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dejan Gavrilovi\u0107<\/strong> from Efektiva stressed the importance of <strong>consistency<\/strong>, urging consumers to refrain from shopping at these stores. He also revealed that while <strong>sales dropped by about 37%<\/strong> during the previous one-day boycott, some chains responded by <strong>raising prices on certain products<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This prompted the decision to extend the boycott to five days.<\/strong> However, Gavrilovi\u0107 noted that the strategy is still evolving and that further steps will be determined after evaluating the results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fpermalink.php%3Fstory_fbid%3Dpfbid035QQNjPgTXms8HwrSsrHhRW2CKkjRmYywhrGzNKFycE8xbxVh6X1ip6NbCQx4YNCil%26id%3D61570497908267&#038;show_text=true&#038;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"659\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Can Consumers Achieve, and What Comes Next?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Gavrilovi\u0107 believes that <strong>only through persistent and collective action<\/strong> can consumers force retailers to reconsider their pricing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He emphasized that <strong>food prices in Serbia are among the highest in Europe<\/strong>, while <strong>average wages in Slovenia and Croatia\u2014countries with similar economic conditions\u2014are \u20ac500 to \u20ac700 higher.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;If we are not ready to say &#8216;enough&#8217; to this high-price policy, retailers will continue with such practices,&#8221;<\/strong> Gavrilovi\u0107 warned, urging citizens to demand <strong>fair and reasonable prices, instead of relying on occasional discounts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He clarified that the <strong>boycott does not mean completely stopping purchases<\/strong> but rather <strong>avoiding large retail chains<\/strong>.
