Five students from Kragujevac<\/strong>, who have been blocking their university for three months<\/strong>, are running a relay marathon to Belgrade<\/strong> today to symbolically deliver an invitation<\/strong> to their fellow students from all faculties in Serbia<\/strong> for the large protest gathering “Let\u2019s Meet on Sretenje” on February 15 in Kragujevac<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The relay started amid cheers, applause, flowers, and the sounds of “March on the Drina.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students will run along a route passing through Topola, Mladenovac, Sopot, and Avala<\/strong>, with their arrival in Belgrade expected around 10 PM tonight, in front of the Saint Sava Temple.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All five students are from the Faculty of Medical Sciences<\/strong>, from where the relay was launched, but they emphasize that they represent the entire University of Kragujevac<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kragujevac residents gathered before 9 AM<\/strong> in Svetozara Markovi\u0107a Street<\/strong> to see them off with whistles and drums<\/strong>, while locals will greet them along the way<\/strong> as they pass through neighborhoods like Bubanj and Jabu\u010dar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students will be accompanied by police vehicles<\/strong> along the route, and they will take turns running, just like professional marathoners<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“See you in Belgrade!”<\/em> the students declared before taking off.
