{"id":163485,"date":"2025-02-07T15:25:02","date_gmt":"2025-02-07T13:25:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/?p=163485"},"modified":"2025-02-07T15:25:03","modified_gmt":"2025-02-07T13:25:03","slug":"possible-cause-of-washington-crash-revealed-key-safety-system-on-helicopter-was-turned-off","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/possible-cause-of-washington-crash-revealed-key-safety-system-on-helicopter-was-turned-off\/","title":{"rendered":"POSSIBLE CAUSE OF WASHINGTON CRASH REVEALED: Key safety system on helicopter was turned off!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A key <strong>safety system<\/strong> was <strong>turned off<\/strong> on the <strong>U.S. Army helicopter<\/strong> that <strong>collided with an American Airlines plane<\/strong> near <strong>Washington\u2019s Reagan Airport<\/strong>, killing <strong>67 people<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senate Commerce Committee Chairman <strong>Ted Cruz<\/strong> stated that the <strong>Black Hawk helicopter<\/strong> had <strong>switched off its Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast system (ADS-B)<\/strong>, which is allowed for military aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis was a <strong>training flight<\/strong>, so there was <strong>no safety reason<\/strong> to turn that system off,\u201d Cruz said after a <strong>briefing by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>ADS-B system<\/strong> is an <strong>advanced tracking technology<\/strong> for aircraft location.
