The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade<\/strong> has submitted an indictment proposal<\/strong> to the Higher Court in Belgrade<\/strong> against three defendants on reasonable suspicion<\/strong> that they committed the criminal offense of Violent Behavior at a Sports Event or Public Gathering<\/strong> on November 22, 2024<\/strong>, during the blockade of Bulevar umetnosti<\/strong> in front of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts (FDU)<\/strong>. The indictment names Milija K., Milena A., and Ivan S.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigative actions were also conducted against Aleksandar J. and Du\u0161an K.<\/strong>, but since the alleged offense is not prosecuted ex officio<\/strong>, the prosecution decided to dismiss the criminal charges against them<\/strong>. However, misdemeanor proceedings<\/strong> will be initiated against both for the offense of Insult, Violence, Threat, or Brawl<\/strong> under Article 9, Paragraph 2 of the Law on Public Order and Peace<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Victims and their legal representatives have the right to appeal<\/strong> the dismissal decision to the Appellate Public Prosecutor\u2019s Office in Belgrade<\/strong> within eight days<\/strong> of receiving the decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prosecution has proposed conditional sentences<\/strong> of one year in prison<\/strong>, with a three-year probation period<\/strong>, and fines of 100,000 dinars<\/strong> each for Milija K., Milena A., and Ivan S.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

None of the defendants have prior convictions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

INCIDENT DETAILS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It is reasonably suspected<\/strong> that on November 22, 2024, between 11:52 AM and 12:07 PM<\/strong>, near the FDU building<\/strong>, during a public gathering in memory of those killed in the collapse of a shelter at Novi Sad Railway Station on November 1, 2024<\/strong>, the defendants Milija K. and Milena A. physically attacked<\/strong> participants, while Ivan S. engaged in violent behavior at the gathering<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Milija K.<\/strong>, along with unidentified individuals, allegedly approached N.T.<\/strong> and punched him multiple times in the face and body<\/strong>, causing minor injuries<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Milena A.<\/strong> allegedly used a closed dark blue umbrella<\/strong> to strike M.S. on the right hand<\/strong> and R.R. on the wrist<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Ivan S.<\/strong> allegedly swung his fist<\/strong> at R.R. and N.T.<\/strong>, verbally threatened N.T.<\/strong>, insulted U.N.<\/strong>, and attempted to push through a \u201chuman wall\u201d formed by witnesses, FDU staff, and actors<\/strong> to protect students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
