Police reported that <strong>one of the robbers was killed<\/strong>, while the other was <strong>critically wounded<\/strong>, while the security worker himself was unharmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The video (below) shows a <strong>garbage truck pulling into a service area<\/strong> next to <strong>DRW College Prep<\/strong>, located at <strong>931 South Homan Avenue<\/strong>, at around <strong>5:18 AM<\/strong>. The <strong>28-year-old victim<\/strong>, who was apparently working alone, is seen walking from the <strong>driver\u2019s side to the back of the truck<\/strong>, when he immediately notices <strong>two robbers approaching from the passenger\u2019s side<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the robbers, <strong>apparently larger than the other<\/strong>, confronts the victim, while the second <strong>approaches with a gun<\/strong>. The victim appears to <strong>push the gun away with his forearm<\/strong> while struggling with the <strong>larger robber<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the <strong>gunman raises his weapon again, the victim fires at least three shots<\/strong>, <strong>disabling the armed robber<\/strong>, who <strong>collapses to the ground<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seemingly unfazed, <strong>the second robber becomes even more aggressive<\/strong>, grappling with the victim and wrapping his arms around him. The worker <strong>fires several more shots<\/strong>, <strong>disabling the second robber<\/strong>, who falls to the ground, <strong>dragging the victim down with him<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p lang=\"qme\" dir=\"ltr\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/lgVsFkm7iR\">pic.twitter.com\/lgVsFkm7iR<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Nick Drakulich (@Ndrakulich) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Ndrakulich\/status\/1885863898651255139?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 2, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The footage ends with the victim getting up and <strong>walking out of the alley<\/strong>, leaving both robbers <strong>lying motionless on the wet pavement<\/strong> behind him. <strong>Warning:<\/strong> The video may be disturbing to some viewers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officials reported that <strong>42-year-old Kenneth Elliott was killed during the confrontation<\/strong>. He was the <strong>larger of the two suspects<\/strong>.
