That\u2019s why I can no longer trust him, even though I did just a week ago,<\/strong>&#8221; Scholz stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <strong>Politico<\/strong>, this marks the <strong>first time<\/strong> that the <strong>CDU<\/strong> has successfully pushed through a measure with <strong>AfD support<\/strong>, despite Merz\u2019s prior promises to <strong>distance himself from the far right<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scholz <strong>accused the CDU<\/strong> of knowingly <strong>accepting AfD backing<\/strong> to pass their migration policy in parliament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For years, <strong>Germany\u2019s mainstream parties<\/strong> have maintained a <strong>strict stance against cooperation with the far right<\/strong>, refusing <strong>coalitions or collaboration at any level<\/strong>.
