With the message “One Step to Justice,”<\/strong> students blocking Belgrade universities have set out on foot for a protest march to Novi Sad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After covering a distance of more than seventy kilometers, they will join Novi Sad students on February 1<\/strong> in the blockade of three bridges in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bridge blockades<\/strong> will mark three months since the collapse of the newly renovated Novi Sad Railway Station<\/strong> canopy, which resulted in 15 deaths<\/strong> and left two people seriously injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This tragedy<\/strong> triggered a wave of mass protests across Serbia, bringing tens of thousands of people<\/strong> onto the streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the past two months, students have led these protests, blocking dozens of public universities<\/strong> with their main demand being the establishment of criminal and political accountability<\/strong> for the Novi Sad disaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The starting point<\/strong> for the marching Belgrade students was the Faculty of Dramatic Arts (FDU)<\/strong>. The march will conclude in front of the Novi Sad Railway Station<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the students walk, citizens cheer them on from their windows<\/strong>, and they are followed by a long line of cars<\/strong>. Some supporters are riding bicycles<\/strong> alongside them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those committed to walking all the way to Novi Sad carry backpacks and sleeping gear<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dozens of student stewards<\/strong> are present to ensure order during the march.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The police are regulating traffic and following the march<\/strong>, accompanied by ambulances and fire trucks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
