{"id":160233,"date":"2025-01-22T16:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-01-22T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/?p=160233"},"modified":"2025-01-22T17:41:46","modified_gmt":"2025-01-22T15:41:46","slug":"trump-begins-fight-against-woke-culture-building-a-society-based-on-merit-not-dei","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/trump-begins-fight-against-woke-culture-building-a-society-based-on-merit-not-dei\/","title":{"rendered":"TRUMP BEGINS THE FIGHT AGAINST WOKE CULTURE: Building a society based on merit, not DEI policies!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>American President <a href=\"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Donald Trump<\/a> has launched his promised battle against so-called \u201cwoke\u201d inclusion policies by issuing an order requiring all federal employees involved in DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs to be placed on paid leave by the end of the workday (Wednesday), with their departments to be shut down.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The directive, sent on Tuesday by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), will ultimately lead to the dismissal or reassignment of these employees, according to the Washington Post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This order follows an executive action signed by Trump on Monday, his first day in office, to end what he described as the \u201cwasteful and radical\u201d DEI programs within the federal government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe will build a colorblind, merit-based society,\u201d Trump stated, emphasizing that race and ethnicity will no longer be factors in hiring, as opposed to the minority quotas mandated by DEI policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This decision also overturns numerous regulations and initiatives from previous administrations aimed at \u201cpromoting diversity\u201d in federal government agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trump announced that he would direct the Office of Management and Budget to halt all related mandates, policies, and programs across all federal agencies, including DEI initiatives within individual departments. Employees who fail to report such attempts within 10 days could face \u201cadverse consequences.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The OPM also issued a template email to be sent to employees, explaining that DEI programs have \u201cdivided Americans by race, wasted taxpayer dollars, and led to shameful discrimination.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reversal of Biden Administration Policies<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The former administration of President Joseph Biden had instructed federal agencies to \u201cpromote diversity\u201d within their workforce to \u201cadvance equity for people of color historically marginalized.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Battle Against Woke Culture<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of his effort to combat the \u201cwoke\u201d policies of his predecessor, Trump signed an order that the federal government will recognize only two genders: male and female. This nullifies the option to select \u201cother\u201d or \u201cX\u201d on federal forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFrom today, it will be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female. What we are doing today is defining that U.S. policy recognizes two genders, male and female.
