Police in Zagreb are intensively searching for a three-year-old girl who, according to her mother, entered the Sava River with her. Authorities searched the banks of the Sava River throughout the late afternoon and evening, but the search from the water was suspended due to darkness and cold weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Around 4 PM, near the Jankomir Bridge in Zagreb, a woman reportedly entered the Sava River with a child in her arms, according to her own account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The child\u2019s mother is currently in the hospital under the supervision of doctors and police, while the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The head of the Zagreb fire department\u2019s diving team announced that the search of the Sava River would resume in the morning due to darkness and adverse weather conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The conditions are challenging and demanding; it\u2019s dark. The Sava is very fast today, with a high water level that accelerates the river\u2019s flow, making the search quite exhausting. We have all the necessary equipment, including an underwater scanner, drones, and, of course, floodlights for illumination,” stated Dra\u017een Pavli\u0107, leader of the Zagreb Fire Brigade\u2019s diving team, as reported by HRT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
