He moved from Cancun to the spa town under Mount Ozren four years ago and stayed because of love.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Teodora and Jos\u00e9, now both residents of Sokobanja, show that love can easily overcome cultural differences, language barriers, and a distance of 10,000 kilometers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their love story began in China, where they were working different jobs. However, due to the COVID-19 situation, they each returned to their home countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;At that time, I thought that if I had to go through a tough period, I wanted it to be with her, so I came to Serbia. After COVID, having gotten to know <a href=\"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/category\/serbia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Serbia<\/a>, its people, and the lifestyle here, I decided to stay,&#8221; said Jos\u00e9 Carlos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;My family accepted him very well. As for my friends, he gets along with everyone, and he\u2019s best friends with my brother. They\u2019re just like two best buddies,&#8221; said Teodora Risti\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Serbia is a beautiful country with a rich history. When we visited some fortresses, I really wanted to learn more about all of it. I saw that Serbia holds an important place in history, with significant events and battles that happened here, and it\u2019s amazing how this heritage is preserved,&#8221; said the Mexican.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"\/\/services.brid.tv\/player\/build\/brid.min.js\"><\/script><div id=\"videoBox-1927257\" class=\"brid\" itemprop=\"video\" itemscope itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/VideoObject\"><\/div><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> $bp(\"videoBox-1927257\", {\"id\":\"34612\",\"width\":\"600\",\"height\":\"343\",\"video\":\"1927257\",\"autoplay\":0,\"shared\":true});<\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>His wife noted that he loves Serbia\u2019s natural beauty and mountains because in the regions where he comes from, there\u2019s no snow, and it\u2019s always warm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After four years in Sokobanja, Jos\u00e9 has adopted some of the local customs and habits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Mexicans don\u2019t have slavas, and at first, he found it strange, but now he can\u2019t wait to attend one,&#8221; said Teodora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Here in the family, everyone takes care of each other, just like in Mexico. The food is fantastic. I love that there\u2019s a lot of meat and constant gatherings, big lunches with lots of guests. There\u2019s always a reason to celebrate,&#8221; emphasized Jos\u00e9 Carlos, adding that he loves Serbia, rakija, and his wife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Teodora and Jos\u00e9 make personalized gifts and decorations with a CNC machine.
