(VIDEO)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The oldest brother of Serbian basketball player Nikola Joki\u0107, Strahinja, has pleaded not guilty to charges of assaulting a spectator during the Nuggets vs. Lakers game on April 22, 2024, in Denver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As seen in a video that surfaced on social media shortly after the incident, Strahinja allegedly attacked a man, delivering at least one punch to his face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accompanying Strahinja throughout the incident was Nemanja, the middle Joki\u0107 brother, who did not intervene but stood behind Strahinja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The assaulted man was found to have sustained a concussion, bruises, and cuts, according to medical reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"560\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Nikola Jokic&#39;s older brother Strahinja threw a punch at a fan following the Nuggets&#39; 20-point comeback win vs. the Lakers \ud83d\udc40<br><br>(via cgallegos67\/TT)<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gjYzt7c1kE\">pic.twitter.com\/gjYzt7c1kE<\/a><\/p>&mdash; ClutchPoints (@ClutchPoints) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ClutchPoints\/status\/1782766678469648856?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 23, 2024<\/a><\/blockquote> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At his initial hearing, Strahinja Joki\u0107 pleaded not guilty to the charges, and he is expected to present his defense on April 18 during the first pretrial hearing, ahead of the trial, which begins on April 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If convicted, he faces a maximum fine of $1,000 and up to 364 days in jail, according to the law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is Strahinja Joki\u0107\u2019s second recorded violent incident.
