{"id":154639,"date":"2024-10-09T15:57:39","date_gmt":"2024-10-09T13:57:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/?p=154639"},"modified":"2024-10-09T15:57:40","modified_gmt":"2024-10-09T13:57:40","slug":"this-is-the-teacher-of-the-future-mladen-wins-prestigious-award-previously-named-serbias-best-educator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/this-is-the-teacher-of-the-future-mladen-wins-prestigious-award-previously-named-serbias-best-educator\/","title":{"rendered":"THIS IS THE TEACHER OF THE FUTURE: Mladen wins prestigious award, previously named Serbia&#8217;s best educator!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Mladen \u0160ljivovi\u0107, a physics teacher at the <strong>Zaje\u010dar <\/strong>Gymnasium, is the recipient of the first Serbian teaching award &#8220;Prosvetitelj&#8221; (Enlightener), awarded by the Alek Kav\u010di\u0107 Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For his innovative teaching methods and achievements, \u0160ljivovi\u0107 already holds the titles of Best Educator in Serbia and STEAM EXPERT Ambassador, and is the recipient of the Svetosavska award and numerous other recognitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u0160ljivovi\u0107 came to the Zaje\u010dar Gymnasium, which he himself graduated from, as a physics graduate for a one-month replacement, but stayed for a full two decades during which his students always won awards at the highest-level competitions, and he received all the most important teaching awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest, the &#8220;Prosvetitelj&#8221; award, was given to him from a pool of 1,000 teachers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m sitting in the audience and they&#8217;re reading out the announcement. There are four of us, phenomenal people, finalists they&#8217;ve chosen, and suddenly they call out &#8216;teacher from the gymnasium,&#8217; I look and see I&#8217;m the only one from the gymnasium! I hear &#8216;Mladen \u0160ljivovi\u0107&#8217; and I see that&#8217;s it! He tries to make the lessons clear and concise enough for us to understand, and to learn something.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We have fun and learn at the same time, that&#8217;s the magic of this maker space, at every corner I look, there&#8217;s some device to learn something, to play. You learn best through play, and this is the perfect place for that&#8221;, say the students taught by teacher Mladen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I see some call, I see some idea and I say &#8216;let&#8217;s go, let&#8217;s chase it!&#8217; I enjoy it and that&#8217;s my whole philosophy&#8221;, concludes \u0160ljivovi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For two years in a row, the teams led by \u0160ljivovi\u0107 have won the state competition of student companies.
