At the recently held International Film Festival in Vancouver<\/a><\/strong>, Serbian <\/a><\/strong>directors Sanja \u017divkovi\u0107 and Emilija Ga\u0161i\u0107 achieved significant success with their feature films. Sanja \u017divkovi\u0107’s film “Ma\u010dji krik” (Cat’s Cry) won a Special Mention within the Horizon Award, designed for new Canadian <\/a><\/strong>directors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This film was recognized for its innovative approach and powerful themes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emilija Ga\u0161i\u0107, on the other hand, was awarded the prestigious Vanguard Award for her work “78 Days,” which also stood out for its creativity and emotional depth. Her film addresses the NATO aggression against Yugoslavia in 1999. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both directors have shown exceptional talent and contributed to the affirmation of Serbian cinema on the international scene. This festival represents a significant platform for new talents, and the success of Sanja and Emilija further highlights the potential of Serbian film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
