Gera signs the poster for “Volja sinovljeva”. The premiere of the epic adventure “Volja sinovljeva” is approaching, and every day the public learns new details that suggest another blockbuster is coming. As we could see on social networks today, the production boasted that the poster for “Volja sinovljeva” was made by the world’s most famous comic book artist, Rajko Milo\u0161evi\u0107 Gera<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comic book fans have been following him for decades, and he gained worldwide fame with “Howard Blake”, but also the legendary “Scalped”, a series promoted as “The Sopranos in an Indian reservation” which became an absolute classic of comics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gera’s specific artistic expression has been recognized by many artists, and especially by directors, so his collaboration with Quentin Tarantino on the comic book adaptation of his films “Inglourious Basterds” and “Django Unchained” is not surprising. Soon after, Gera started a new series with Jason Aaron called “The Curse”, which follows the story of the biblical figure Cain. This world-renowned comic book artist is one of the greatest from our region. He published his first comic, “Elemer Jones”, in 1982 in “YU strip”, and after that, successes followed in artistic creation, primarily in America, France, and Spain where he has lived for over three decades. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It is a great honor to have collaborated with the greatest Serbian comic book artist and author of some of the best comics created in this century. Gera’s style perfectly suits “Volja sinovljeva”. In our first conversation with him, we realized that we love the same films, we are both big fans of westerns, and we have very similar views on art. I am very happy that a wider audience, outside of comic book circles, will have the opportunity to see Gera’s work. Contemporary movie posters are at a low level, they repel more than they attract, and the inclusion of such artists is key to restoring the old glory to the craft of making movie posters,” said director Nemanja \u0106erani\u0107. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
